Our Acadamics & Curriculum

Shalom believes that education is not just imparting knowledge and information. Education plays a substantial role in behavior modification as well. Shalom Residential Public School ensures a stress-less learning atmosphere and ensures that individual care is given to each student. It is co-educational and has a diversified cross cultural and multi linguistic atmosphere. SRPS is a home away from home. Shalom also believes in participatory learning and teaching through effective parent-teacher interaction. The school has designed a unique curriculum consisting co-scholastic and extra-scholastic activities, to groom value-driven leaders for tomorrow. The multifaceted approach at SRPS keeps the usual curricular and co-curricular and training activities at its topmost, giving accent to the core values of the school as well. These core values are decisiveness, risk-taking, empathy, integrity and commitment. The school has fully fledged laboratories for languages, mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology. It has an extensive play ground for Archery, Hockey, Football, Handball and other sports and games. Coaching for Civil Services exams are conducted from standard VII onwards. A multi linguistic and cross cultural student and teacher community comprising international faculty and students adorn the campus as well as makes it distinct in a very unique way.

SRPS is affiliated to CBSE and follows the curriculum from Grade I to X. However  students in VI, VII and VIII will have the option to follow MYP as the school has obtained IB candidate status and after obtaining IB authorization,  students in Grade X will have both options either to appear in AISSE or both AISSE and MYP online exam. School Management is committed to obtaining IBDP too in due course.  With the vast opportunities for education after X (MYP) or XII (IBDP) in universities abroad, our students will be fully equipped to avail opportunities in reputed universities abroad.

SHALOM TOTS: – Learning is fun in our LKG and UKG.  My Pedia with its visual, aural and kinesthetic experiential learning, students will find learning enjoyable and entertaining.

PRIMARY (I to V): – NCERT curriculum is offered. IB profile is incorporated into the teaching learning process so that the transition to MYP after Grade V will be smooth.

MIDDLE SCHOOL (MYP): – Grades VI to X will follow NCERT curriculum. However IB profile is given more weightage in Grade VI, VII and VIII.

SECONDARY (AISSE) : – NCERT curriculum is offered in IX and X which prepares them for CBSE (AISSE) Board exam in class X.  However, after obtaining IB authorization, by 2020 – 21 students in Grade X can choose between AISSE and MYP online exam or appear in AISSE and MYP exam.
